Thank you for your interest in our research

Eurolens Research is a contact lens research and consultancy unit within The University of Manchester. All our research is carried out by a team of fully qualified Optometrists in Manchester City Centre and is regulated by The University of Manchester’s Research Ethics Committee.

We are currently recruiting for a new contact lens study. We require people who have a requirement for a ‘reading correction’ for their vision – normally, these are people who require bifocal or varifocal spectacles, reading glasses or multifocal contact lenses. This vision need is termed ‘presbyopia’ and generally affects people aged 40 years or over.

We are looking for eligible people who are either existing contact lens wears, lapsed contact lens wearers or spectacle wearers to volunteer for our study, which will evaluate the performance of soft contact lenses for presbyopia over a 6-month period. Participants will be required to attend up to 7 study visits during the study, each lasting between one and two hours.

Volunteers completing this study will receive a cash payment of £60 in addition to receiving free contact lenses and care solution for the duration of the study.

If you think you might meet the study criteria and would be interested in getting involved, we would like to hear from you. Please enter your details onto our recruitment form, quoting Reference 456. We will contact you with further details. Please be assured that by filling out our recruitment form you are not committing yourself to participation in our studies.

Alternatively, please contact Tonie Sly, who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
